What period did you use for the PaceOfTape indicator, and what period did you use for the PaceOfType input values used for anaLineAlertsOnIndicator? If you selected 15 for your indicator and 30 (default value) for the input series, the alert will not match.
Have tested it here, and the alerts were triggered as expected.
currently i have the exact settings ive shown in the pictures above. so if i understand correctly the input series is the 'TF 9-11 (10tick)' for the input series for the pace of tape.
Your picture above does not show the period of the indicator, which you have selected as input series for anaLineAlertsOnIndicator. Please see the red circles on my post.
ooohhhhhh.. so your saying since my period its set to 15 on the pace of tape indicator, that i need to change the period of the input series indicator on the anaLineAlertsOnIndicator from 30 to 15?
Yes, the indicator anaLineAlertsOnIndicator performs its calculation on the input series, not on any other indicator which is just displayed on your chart by conincidence.
So if the input series has a period of 30 (default), the calculations will be performed on TapeOfPace(30) and not on TapeOfPace(15). In your case you need to synchronize the input series and the indicator displayed on panel 2.
omg im such a tard sometimes.. sorry for taking up your time Fat Tails.. i kinda just figured it pulled all the current settings from the pace of tape indicator and not the default ones.. you know whats even more stupid of me.. the pace of tape indicator actually has its own alert built in the settings right at the top.. i never even noticed it.. seriously i am sorry..
