I've recently re-installed my system and am unclear as to how to best restore from a prior Investor/RT backup on the new system, to retain my chart settings and other preferences. I looked around but couldn't find the info on LinnSoft's website.

For Sierra Charts for instance, I just copied over the 'data' directory. For MultiCharts, it was the ProgramData directory. For Investor/RT, I am unsure how to proceed. There is a folder in Documents, with subfolders "admin", "data_f", and "tickdata" plus a couple other files. Should I just copy these over to the new installation?

For Investor/RT, you just need to locate the data_f folder and move it over. This page will help you locate it:
