Hi,

I've heard from different folks that trading is expected to be very light and choppy next week because of the annual vacation periods and that this is a traditional event (sometimes the month of August is very slow?).

So was wondering from all you gizzled veterans, will you be trading next week? Are there markets you would or would not trade?

Or has all the recent volatility changed the perception of August and the last week of August as being slow trading? There is obviously more news to come. What do you think?

Myself, i will take it a day at a time and if the set-ups are there I'll take them but probably keep my targets short (no laughing Mike!)

This is the same as the "trade during lunch" or "trade overnight" debate...

Trade when it is good to trade. Sometimes that is during lunch. Sometimes it is not. Sometimes that is overnight. Sometimes it is not.

Trade when the markets are moving well

While you should be cautious about vacation or holiday times, it is not a reason to trade or not trade in itself.
