in NT7, I like to backtest for year 2008 and 2009 for CL, 6E, ES and few instruments

when I ran backtest for Oct-Dec2009, it didnt show any results. and it didnt download the data. is there a thread/place where the data is available?

Yes, check the sticky posts in The Elite Circle for many years of tick data.
