Is it possible to use or program range bars as the the base period type (i.e, instead of min, Tick, etc.) for Better Line Break data series type in Ninja 7?

hi aligator,

i attempted that, but ended up with something a bit different:

here's a snip:

Quoting
i set out to create a BLB to support Range bars ... bad idea, as it turns out, since you will end up with the ultimate expanding-triangle as the bars must continue to get larger and larger and larger to break the range.

cheers,

The LineBreak barstype I wrote for NT6.5 does just that. Not by design, rather because of the limitations NT6.5 has. You can take that barstype and convert it to NT7.

Has anyone created true No gap range bars yet? The Current No Gap range bars still have to tick an extra tick for the bar to print. True no gap range bars means that when a bar moves 4 ticks (using a 4 range), a new bar prints. The current version moves 4 ticks, waits to get a 5th tick of movement, and then back fills so that it looks like there is no gap. This make back testing ineffective on them because in reality if you are waiting until close of bar, the order would still be placed on the 5th tick, not the fourth.

So, with all that being said, is there a true no gap range bar yet?

Ben
