Hi Guys,

I have an idea about a strategy and I would like to ask if some one has already developed a similar strategy at NinjaTrader and he can share his strategy with me. My idea is quity similar to Carry strategy. I would have a basket of currencies and based on few criteria I will rank this basket with Top 5 and Worse 5 currencies. Then I would go Long on the Top 5 currencies and Short the Worse 5 Currencies. It is very similar with Carry strategy but instead of using interest rates differencial as a criterion I will use other.

Thanks in advance

Ninjatrader is not suitable for portfolio trading, I would suggest switching to another platform...

As fas as I know it is possible to send multiple trades for various currencies at the same time however I dont know how to rank a basket based on criteria.

I did not say it was impossible to send multiple orders, I said that NT was unsuitable for portfolio trading.

Do a search, there have been threads about better software for this purpose.

Or program it yourself... Your approach sounds simple enough..

@Loukas, you created this thread in the Journals section. Can you clarify your intent to start posting your trades in a journal fashion, or was this a mistake?

Mike

I recommended he start a journal as I thought he was wanting to put together a 'technique' or put it in the commodities section but maybe he just needs it in the NinjaTrader section.

I thought he was looking for others who may be doing basket trading and putting together his own technique at the same time, but just a guess at this point.
