I should know the answer to this but is there anything special I have to do to trade a strategy live on NT? I have been testing a strategy in sim for some time and if all goes well I may start live trading at some future time once I demonstrate it provides acceptable returns in sim for several weeks. I have a funded account and do trade this with discretionary trading using the DOM and chart but remain uncertain of how to make an automated strategy take live trades - eg is it simply a matter of starting a strategy with Global Simulation Mode switched off or am I missing something? Consequently I have been reluctant to do live discretionary trades when running the strategy.

I guess another way to ask the question is - can I trade discretionary trades live and an auto strategy in sim at the same time on one computer?

For question #1, you don't have special things to do, just unselect "global simulation mode", and check, when you start your strat on the real account, that it's this account which is used, and not sim101 for ex.
For question #2, yes you can trade discretionary and an auto-strat on the same NT instance. But be careful, don't ask too much from NT, limit your chart/indicators when a strategy is running.
