Out of curiosity I found this link:
population of all countries of the world largest to smallest

The U.S. population has pretty much stayed the same for the last 20 years. So it's not primarily responsible for the increase from 4 billion since the 80's to today's 7 billion. China and India had the most of course, I was surprised U.S. was third followed by Indonesia, Brazil, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

Russia only has 141 million not counting the states that broke off. Japan pretty crowded for an island nation at 127 million.

Mexico had 108 million. With an estimated 10-15 million immigrants illegal or not into primarily California and other states, that's a massive 10-15% of the population from a border country into the U.S. Probably decreased now with the job scarcity today.

Germany 81 mil, UK 62 mil, Italy 60 mil, Spain 46 mil

Israel at 7 million.

United Arab Emirates 4.7 mil, Saudia Arabia 26 mil.

Greece at 11 million. geez, less than many states in the U.S. and all that economic ruckus?

California is 36 million, so #34 after Poland at 38 mil.

Canada at 34 mil.

Anyways,I thought it was interesting to look at. On Alex Jones' website Alex Jones' Infowars: There's a war on for your mind! there was reported a satire article with a not so funny headline:

‘Satire’ Article Quips ‘At Least 2 Billion Must Die’ to Save Earth Alex Jones' Infowars: There's a war on for your mind!

I remember reading another article with worry that the U.S. would have problems maintaining it's population as younger generations have less kids or none with a big drop off instead in 30 years.

I wish Romney was the candidate who proposed the moonbase as investing for the future rather than Gingrich.
