I am using MC with IB for charting and trading. But I am stumped as to how to get monthly, weekly and daily moving averages for say ES or INX, given the IB limitation of 1 year of history. I only need daily bars from which to make the calculation. Does anyone have an answer? Thank you.

Use IQFeed if you need more backfill. Or restate the question.

Thank you, but I just need a once-off backfill of daily OHLC values. I suppose I could download the ES tick data in the Elite forum, but again it is just daily OHLC that I need.

You could take a look at Pi Trading - Free Market Data for daily values. I think they update it at end of the month.
