I am trying to figure out if there is an indicator add-on for ninjatrader 7 to replicate the regression channel lines that esignal has built in. I know you can integrate esignal into ninjatrader but I don't have esignal. I have been able to replicate these lines in quotetracker so I know it must be possible since ninjatrader obviously does a lot more than the antiquated software quotetracker. If anyone knows please let me know. Basically it's a linear regression median line, and then a lower and upper lines drawn x standard deviations from the median line. These lines are projecting into the future and don't stop at the current price like in Metastock. The lines are drawn using all of the price data, not just for instance 30 days. Thanks.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Fat tails which regression is that? Is that built in? The built in ones plot okay, however theres no way to set the period to use all the data. You have to choose for instance 500 bars, which may be okay on a 5 minute chart, but on a 1 minute I might need 5000 bars, so the lines will be skewed when changing time frames. 2006 was the last time I was willing to pay $160 a month to subscribe to esignal and therefore the last time I took a screenshot. Can you email me the PRC and PRC2 indicator? trendfollowers@gmail
I can't download it for some reason. It just keeps bringing me back to the same page. Can you email it to me? The regression uses all data that is given to it. In esignal all I had to do was set the standard deviations to for example 2 standard deviations from the mean regression line, choose zero to use all data, instead of just for example a 30 bar period like NT, and that's it, but I also plotted 7 other lines at various standard deviations. In quotetracker it asked for %change and I used zero, and for width I used the # of standard deviations, and putt zero for # of ticks. One important thing is I need to be able to make the mean regression transparent.
