quote """""""US stocks typically have a tick size of .01. Set this setting to the tick size for the symbol of the chart. This setting is used for the trading functions, by some studies, scaling, and various charting related features. This is a critical setting that needs to be correct.
The Tick Size setting will be automatically set if there are Global Symbol Settings defined for the exact symbol or a symbol pattern matching the symbol in Global Settings >> Symbol Settings. If there are no Global Symbol Settings defined for the symbol, then the Tick Size will be automatically set from the connected Data or Trading service, if supported, when you are connected to the data feed (File >> Connect to Data Feed). Not all Data and Trading services support providing Tick Size data for a symbol.""""""

Thanks for the reply, but I am not sure if I understand it completely. Let me put it
this way,the instrument I quote is forex and the feed is fxcm for which
the minimum tick size is 0.00001(5 digit), But if I want the candle's tick size be
shown for 0.0001(4 digit), can I do that?
I don't know if the settings will match/allow , you can try going to file> Data/trade server settings and change historical server settings to sierra and see if that helps but not sure how that will affect your quotes .... not sure
probably be helpful to speak with FXCM technical support also ... Good luck ?
also look at global setting definition for symbol to see if there is a default setting in place, not sure if there is and/or can be changed ?
