Recently I read a book

it's basically a book caters to part-time traders with a day job,I haven't read it completely.

In the book the author explain types of market cycles by using the clock hands but unfortunately I wasn't able to identify/understand the concept

the author also wrote that we should have several trading strategies for trending, consolidating market... but how do we identify it?

I know there's this thing call price action but I'm no scalper...

if anyone can share resources or have a simpler graphical picture about market cycle will be much appreciated.
