I rather like the above, so I kind of went along the same lines.
So this is what I've got so far:
This is just a sketch, no formulas, so there are errors in the week #...
What do you think how many years we should have in there?
I also thought we should have some graphs similar to the hour of day graphs on overview: day of week, month of year and perhaps day of month?
What more do we want to stick in there? Any suggestions? (I might have missed suggestions in earlier posts, if I did, please remind me...)
that actually does look pretty nice and ill take an even closer look here in a moment(6E is moving as we speak).. i also like those ideas about the graphs(and pie charts!)..
is there a way to have the journal 'know' how many years you have and just plot it out? so once a new year was started it would just start building a new year below the previous(see my idea below).. since were into this whole automation stuff..
also i think the weekly, monthly, and yearly totals need the net, gross, and commish totals where the 'totals' are located.. you would also be able to make all that data fit and look nice and simple if the years went across in landscape or rows, instead of having them in portrate or columns.. monitors are wide now-a-days so that wont be an issue to have the years descend from oldest to newest and would look nice to 'flow' with the way the journal is setup..
dont believe anything you hear and only half of what you see
Having it landscape is what I started with, but then I ran into problems with the week numbers of the year... But now that I think about it... We will run into problems like this as well...weeks are ofen split between two months....
oh ok, i see what your doing now. i thought it was trying to show each day of the month like in the first layout you did.. wouldnt the way you setup the week days right now be better as a graph?
