Since it is good to measure performance in different units than money I think it might be a good idea to include a graph of profit per contract over a period of time.
It could suggest how is one performing and derive the position size out of it.
For instance if I am consistently making 10 ticks / contract a day, it might be wise to increase size given all other conditions are met (risk is stable percentage of capital, or the target with given size is met).
I like the idea, shouldn't be any problem to incorporate, as there is already a column for it ticks/contract...
That chart could go onto overview and could be cycled through with the other account charts....
Killed a very persistent bug that caused an incompatibility with excel 10. It deleted the dataseries of the charts on time period tab due to a slight change between office 07 and 10. Unfortunately there was nothing to find on that change....
Finally found it. And in the process I managed to crash excel 10 in less than 10min after installationrepeatedly of course
The other change was for @petrmac. Now the table gets resized automatically on first open after import. Please report if it is working. The cell to write to is "internal calcs P38".
Smaller fixes here and there I can't remember.
We should also agree on a roadmap what else we want to have in there. What comes to mind are Account balance here and there on "time per. stats" tab and a graph showing ticks/contract over time at same place than account balance on overview.
here on some thoughts on the coloring for the time period stats:
-i think the commission should always be in red text.
-the amount of trades should always be in black.
-im not sure how the win% is calculated, but it should always be in black. now if its green because its a positive win% and red because its a negative win% than thats fine but should be consistent i think. im not sure if you have had no winners is setup to show 0% or not..
dont believe anything you hear and only half of what you see
Adding new row in the journal works in excel 11 for Mac and does not work in excel 10 for Windows.
The tab on the Note field adds a new row, but the fields are locked in excel 10.
Unfortunately I don't have other excel version available.
