I've been running some optimization using the built-in GO from NT and the results are....questionable. I'm wondering if there are any advantages to using PH and MeGo's optimizers if I'm not using enums? Are they faster, better? Or should I just greatly increase my generations and the default GO will be good enough?

piersh's GO was only for NT 6.5. It is not compatible with NT7.
