Hello @Billbb,

If you read somebody's post and you got something out of it, hit the "Thank You" button. That's it

Best would be no thanks button. No thanks button, no valuation.Only end of the year some kind of valuation which poster you have best in mind, then some time to vote and thats it.

Something like the NexusFi (formerly BMT) Best of Trading awards we have every year??

The thanks button is important to the site, because some people choose to spend a lot of their time giving. They give in order to help others, and the thanks button allows those people to repay a small portion of that by saying thank you for your generosity and for helping me.

This then further compels these contributors to continue contributing and helping more people, because they feel appreciated for doing so.

I think the better thread would be "Why do some people never say thank you, as if they expect everything to be handed to them".

Mike

Can accept that with no problem as long as the receiver not post's for the thought to become a thanks.

Giving a thanks from my side from my pure sympathy is like giving a thank to an artist which I not can give any thing except the clapps of my hands to show my respect.
