Hi again, ok so i have my Holy grail of strategies but just to make sure I thought i better do a bit of backtesting.
Problem I have is I am using metastock EOD data, LSE symbols. Now this gives me approx 3000 symbols but doesnt give me sectors, mining, retail etc etc. what I wanted to do was backtest against each sector.
The only solution I can think of is to manually write down each sector symbol list, open a new workspace and enter the symbols then save the workspace as the sector name ? that way going forward when I want to test against sat media I open the media workspace and add current signal ? any thoughts on this ?

@sweed73, did you find any better solution to your issue?
I am also trying to do the same, but no data feed provider I know of, has these lists.

any news on that - i am looking as well for stocks by sector... and it is just not possible to look up the sector for each stock..
