Has anyone had problems with their ZenFire today. My signal is fine for a period and then all of a sudden freezes for a number of seconds and I lose the ticks. In a number of cases it has caused big gaps in the bars (I use range charts).
I am on SIM so I have not lost real money, but I have given up trading today as I am making bad trades/exits with missing data.
Called AMP Futures and they said a number of other customers had complained, but it was intermittent ie not all customers were affected. They suggested there were some issues with ZenFire servers.
I have never had a problem before.
Just nervous as we replaced our router yesterday, still exactly the same model, so hard to think that would have caused an issue. Besides, I have a live trading room up on my screen as well, and their charts are updating fine on my PC with no delay (that was how I first picked up that I was missing ticks as my bars did not look like theirs).
I have even checked performance with no workspaces open ie just Control Center so I know it is not an issue to do with recalculation and indicators.
I ask this as I had seen someone else (can't think what site) suggest that ZenFire throttle back the service to SIM only accounts to ensure those with Live trading accounts have uninterrupted service.
AMP Futures said they had never heard of this. But I wonder if there is some truth to it, as on Friday the data issues I had were between 9.30am and 10.45am ET. The rest of the day was fine.
Does anyone know how to get hold of ZenFire directly??
I have been with them for nearly a year. The problems I had in the last two days of last week were the first I had - and as you can see the signals for me travel all the way to New Zealand.
My experience with mirus zen fire is that i do have data issues. my issues are that when switching from one time frame to another i will not get historical data this is especially true for range bars, i never have issues when the chart is plotting , only when switching, I resolve this by disconnecting and reconnecting the chart is then correct.
I have esignal data with NT for sim trading . I never had an interuption of any kind and dont have to store any historical data on NT . I also have a dedicated modem for my trading computer so routers arent an issue . Since some brokers offer zenfire free of charge is that why people are using it or has it proven itself to be superior ?
If esignal is superior and costs more , then its worth a few dollars a month . If zenfire is superior ( and potentially gratis ) please describe what makes it so .
I was told by a friend, that if your going to trade live, then you need to have a dedicated computer and that you should not have an anti-virus program nor a firewall.
