Just wondering if anyone has ever experienced Fed day on the CL. What it was like, if goofy or tradable?

The Fed, IF it makes a move, can effect the US dollar and that in turn can have a big effect on CL, so be careful.. (strong US dollar usually means weak CL )

I turn my strategies off about 30 min before Fed announcement and leave off for about 30 min after. If I am in a position before that window I will exit. Can get wild gyrations at times depending on what they say. Crude is fast on a slow day. Add in any kind of fuel and it can get dangerous. My main worry is stop getting jumped by a large amount. The only other time I turn off is when the crude weekly inventory report comes out.

"The day I became a winning trader was the day it became boring. Daily losses no longer bother me and daily wins no longer excited me. Took years of pain and busting a few accounts before finally got my mind right. I survived the darkness within and now just chillax and let my black box do the work."
