Last week I was in touch with FXCM in order to have a Forex practise account ( I have a full licence of NT7 along with IB ) but FXCM provides this only in case you have a live account ... so end of discussion !

FXCM has quite wide spreads 3-4 pips on most pairs.
If they offer ECN account with Ninjatrader and some competitive commissions per trade, it would be worthwhile.

I spoke to a sales person at FXCM (8/6/2012) and he indicated that it would not be a problem to trade a demo account with Ninja Trader. I inferred from what he said that this was a recent change. He gave me the link to NT and the directions. According to NT you can't trade live demo unless you have an NT license.
