Big Mike,
First of all I just 2 days since I registered on your good forum thought how to say THANK YOU, not empty words, your are did and doing and hope will do further great work :
strict rules - share or go out are just great and the whole environment of the forum is really amazing ! it's really place for real traders community where to share, to talk, to learn, to help.
about poll...and conclusions Mirus (never used) seems good firm, but it acts as IB to Dorman and RCQ, both real clearing firms, whoever as per rumors Dorman offers Ninja on Zen Fire, whereas RCQ Ninja on PATS what is minimize as I understand the advantages of Ninja, however don't what to say anything bad about RCQ.
The advantage of dealing with clearing firms directly is obvious : direct data feed connection which could be traced/checked , seriously lower commissions, for those who don't cares about additional 50 cents of buck to rate it will say anything, but...
It's clear that Ninja/Zen is more affordable and almost close to highend trading software/data feed, but there are still exist quite good and not too expensive alternatives of TT/CQG which could be used/explored.
P.s. a lot of info available about : don't blame broker/datafeed/software.....yes of course when broker charge you will different margins/commissions then exchanges, when software, no, not sucks , just, you know work a bit "strange" when it freezes at your entries/exits, normal market, shows 14 ADX line above 7 ADX when figures shows another, when you see finally another datafeed which shows that while "your" price stood at one place a lot of trades already been done and filled, when you filled amongst latest everytime, if to watch time and sales, even if you placed your order 30 minutes ago
BUT especially for newcomer is very important to have "normal" broker/software/datafeed
otherwise your chances to be amongst "loosers" are increasingly high
Krgds,
Andrew
