hey guys i have a new comp with a i7 3630 with 36 gb ram asus x79 mother board , 256 gb vertex4 ssd cards
question is when i load a chart i look at my task manager and under processes it says 8 under cpu and dosent go any higher . and it seem to take the same time as my laptop i3 with 4gb ram . how can this be
is there anything i can do in the bios to speed this up , thanks guys

I also believe that NT7 will only use one core thread for all charts. For backtesting it will use all cores, but for charts just one. This is only from memory and I could be wrong, so if someone knows for sure they can correct me. NT8 will be addressing this and it was discussed in detail in the last two NexusFi (formerly BMT) webinars on NT8.
You also want to start with just a basic chart with no indicators when working with performance issues. There are many seemingly innocent indicators which are very poorly written that will consume a lot of CPU cycles and are highly inefficient. Start with a blank slate and slowly add one indicator at a time until you find the problem child.
