Hi Fat Tails, thanks for posting the Anaalertsonprice indicator. Works great apart from the triangles up and down not working and am only get a straight line. I have attached a swing chart with a price of 760 marked as per the indicator.
I have also attached the constant lines indicator where the triangles do in fact plot on the second NYSE tick chart so wondering what I need to do to get triangles to plot on your indicator.
I have entirely recoded the line alert indicators, which now have the following features
anaLineAlertsOnPrice:
-> alert can be selected as Cross_Above, Cross_Below or Both
-> an offset can be used, in that case the alert will be triggered before the line is crossed
-> the offset needs to be entered in ticks
-> for example if you want to be alerted when the line is touched (not crossed), you would enter an offset of 1 tick
-> the indicator has a function to trigger sound alerts and/or to send an e-mail
-> with COBC = false the sound alerts will trigger intra-bar (depending on rearm time), the e-mail alerts will only be triggered on bar close
anaLineAlertsOnIndicator:
-> alert can be selected as Cross_Above, Cross_Below, Both, Larger_Than or Smaller_Than
-> the indicator is therefore suited for indicators which display as lines or indicators which display as histograms (volume)
-> an offset can be used, in that case the alert will be triggered before the line is crossed or the threshold is reached
-> the offset has to be entered by using the indicator scale (indicators do not move in ticks)
-> the indicator has an option to trigger sound alerts and/or to send an e-mail
-> with COBC = false the sound alerts will trigger intra-bar (depending on rearm time), the e-mail alerts will only be triggered intra-bar with Larger_Than or Smaller_Than
Please report any bugs. The version attached is not the final version yet. I will post it in the download section, once it has been tested.
Hi Harry, hope you are cool.Have an idea for the further boost and enhancement of the anaLineAlertsOnIndicator. Please let me know if you are interested.
The idea is to get the signal from the lower timeframe(say 1Min) when the appropriate lines of the indicator are breached-true, from the higher(say 2Min;5Min,etc..) timeframes (upper line from above/below;lower line from above/below).And not having signals when false. Is it feasible? Please take a look at the attached example.I just sketched it out.Hope you`d be able to discern from it.
Can @Fat Tails or anyone else using this indie please help me?
Thanks to Harry for the indie - very useful for something I am working on. But as I am still very much a newbie with NT7 and indicators in general I need to ask what I am sure is a very basic question.
SO: I want to reference the CurrentDayOHLV indicator and have sound alarms only and I just want to make sure I have this right.
For example, if I was trying to get an alert as price approaches ADN-High from 6 ticks away from above or below - do I have the right settings as the screenshot below? In particular I wasn't sure what was meant in this case by indicator value?
Assuming I do - I then do the same for each line I want alerts on, and the indicator then will alert at each new days adjusted levels?
Apologies again for the noob question!
Thanks
Graeme
