I'm using Sierra Chart as charting software. SC uses a lot of hotkeys, among them "Alt +3" to activate the Crosshair Cursor.

The Alt-key is located to the right of the Win-key and here my problems start: I obviously have fat fingers and often hit "Win +3" instead of "Alt +3". According to the Windows 7 documentation this should launch the application belonging to the third icon in the task bar (that would be no harm) but instead it splits my main monitor into two halves, locks applications in these upper and lower halves and plays dice with my carefully arranged desktop icons.

I have not found any hotkey that reverses this action. I would like to disable the "Win +3" hotkey, but I have found only a description from Microsoft how to disable all Win hotkeys (via a registry hack). I do not want to disable all Win hotkeys.

Question: does anyone know how to disable or redefine "Win +3"?

If this is not possible then I guess I'll have to redefine the SC hotkeys.

Do you use the win key for anything? If not maybe just pluck it out.

Yes, I use Win +L (Lock screen) and Win +F (search) and Win +E (Computer) quite often. But there are other ways to perform these functions.

You can disable all Win Keys here:

There is not a way that I know of to disable only one of them.
