I was testing the indicator for a few hours and it seems to be working well.
Rarely - at least up to now - it may show twice the same trade in slightly different prices, add up more then one trade together or even miss a trade (I was comparing with the NT T&S side by side) but it just happens when the market is very fast or spiking. Not a big problem, I can live with that.
So, I want once again to thank you very, very much to spend your time developing this indicator for me.
This indicator uses T&S data. Are you using in "Aggregate mode" Yes or No?
Technically Aggregate mode is likely to differ a bit as it's an assumption to sum up trades for the same second but for non-aggregate mode - it should be accurate (same as SC T&S ).
Instead of comparing it with NT T&S - compare it with SC T&S as the indicator just takes SC T&S into consideration for calculating the result and for Aggregate mode - it just combines trades for all the trades in the same second..
If you see there is a mis-match between SC T&S and indicator - let me know and I can provide another version for this. This should be very accurate to match the SC T&S - even if it's fast market/spike..
My datafeed is just IB - it can be a problem, I know... However placing NT and SC T&S side by side I can see that sometimes NT is a bit faster and more accurate. I can also see that, unlike NT, SC T&S shows some trades aggregated as NT shows them separated. And when the market is spiking none of the SC / NT T&S show the duplicate trades that the indicator shows. This false "duplicated" trades can be misleading if I'm not paying attention...
Regarding the "Aggregate mode", I spent the last 30 minutes trying to find if I have SC set to "Aggregate mode" or not - and I couldn't find it anywhere!!!
Where can I find it? Should I have it set to "aggregate mode" or not? Don't forget that my point here is to spot individual big volume trades...
Anyway, excepting the fast / spiking market times, the indicator is revealing to be very effective.
There is an input called "Aggregate(Yes/No)" - for this indicator ( default is "No" ) - if you are using it as "No" - then there is nothing else to do for you as it would just match the SC T&S accurately and would take the individual trades and doesn't combine them.
In any case - as it's working fine for now you now - would leave it this way
@Rui S - Attached is the updated DLL file - which should solve the issue of freedll.
On the other issue that you have mentioned about missing few of the volume Threshold markers - though you are fine with it it still bothers me that it's not accurate enough and one area that I can think of which should fix the issue you are running into.
Under chart -> chart settings -> advanced settings - try un-checking "split data Records option" and see if it would fix the issue you are running into. Attached is the image for your reference.
I replaced the DLL file and I don't get any message about the freedll anymore. Problem solved.
I also followed your advice and un-checked the "split data Records option" on the chart where I have the indicator installed. I will test it today and I will let you know about the outcome.
I have been testing the indicator and unfortunately un-checking "split data Records option" doesn't make any difference.
It is still duplicating the trades when the price spikes. Please see the image below.
It shows as it was two trades but was just one trade (I was watching both T&S windows) and this happened a few times today.
Well, as I know that it happens then I have to pay attention when it shows duplicated trades. And despite this issue I still find the indicator very useful anyway.
Another question if you don't mind to answer: I have been trying to set a simple sound alert in the indicator but I couldn't get it to work. I wrote this simple formula in the Condition window: =LASTTRADESIZE > 100 and assigned a sound (just to test) but it didn't work. What am I doing wrong?
