I thought this might be an interesting cross post.

I had some funny moments with -ve values using doubles, so I googled the use of decimals. I found this on StackOverflow.

It appears they recommend using Decimals when dealing with money.

It appears they recommend using Decimals when dealing with money.

A simple and reliable solution might also just use Longs and have everything held and worked in Pence or Cents.

Not sure about the Japanese National Debt mind....

Hi @drolles, you could look also here - the question was already discussed in that thread:


Ninjatrader DON'T work with decimals under the hood - that could be an suggestion for anybody who wants to make a decision between both.
