I started my new combine today with TopStepTrader. I reviewed the market activity in both Oil (CL) and Gold (GC).
Gold gave me my first opportunity for a trade with a pullback to a moving average support level. I did not resist the trend of 'long' in gold by only taking long trades (I have tended to trade counter trend somewhat successfully). I will only take trades with the trend in this combine with the exception of a single settup, which if it occurs, I will take and post the trade and results at that time.
Back to today's trades. I took 3 trades first with 2 cars long and scaled out of first then a trailing stop was hit (maybe a little tight for GC moves??? 2nd and 3rd with one car (contract) with 2:1 risk/reward on 2nd and 4:1 r/r on 3rd.
All in all, net $810 on 3 trades. I fealt relaxed and patient today and with that mental/emotional state was able to read/interpret the market much more clearly. Till tomorrow.
