I keep changing my charts background colors from time to time, I mostly change from Black to White and sometimes light yellow (egg shell)... I want to stop the madness... anyone here has the same issue?

Boredom is a big problem I think for many traders. But boredom is better than over trading.

Sounds like you need something to do at your desk while waiting for trades to come to you. I find books, newspapers and informative websites can fill a day pretty well.

When in doubt a quick game of poker can kill time too, as does brewing a perfect coffee.

could be eye problems a trip to an ophthalmologists maybe in order.

I have two basic template versions: Silver with Chart Trader and Sky Blue with Strategies. I've never been able to get a black background the way I like it. Sometimes the Tradestation screens in black look very good, maybe it's the other things that I would need to set with grid colors, labels, etc. that I've not spend enough time with.

For Background I like the color White
But during the day it is too bright
Black makes some colored indicators a fright
Dark Gray appears to be about right

White is really bad for the eyes, so I use two templates,

- one with a dark (0,0,64)
- and the other with a LightGray Background

I rather like to change the bar colours to tell me different stories about price action.
