Hi Folks,

Wanted to get some ideas how I can create a custom bar chart in tradestation. Say I am looking at a minute chart. I want to record the first 5 minutes as a single bar (O,H,L,C) and the next 10 minutes as the 2nd bar for the day being 15 minutes into the regular session, next 20 minutes as the 3rd bar and being 35 minutes into the regular session, ext. unit the end of the regular session.

My first challenge I/m running into is keeping track of the bar number since the start of the session.

Thank you beforehand

This is just an idea but might work: Use a 5 minute chart and then create sections using
If (Time >= calcTime(sessionStartTime(0,1), 1 * Barinterval)) and (Time <= calcTime(sessionStartTime(0,1), 5 * Barinterval)) then //this would be for the first 5 minutes

then: If (Time >= calcTime(sessionStartTime(0,1), 6 * Barinterval)) and (Time <= calcTime(sessionStartTime(0,1), 15 * Barinterval)) then //this would be for the next 10 minutes

and so on....

Then within each range calculate the highest(high,5) & lowest(Low,5) & Open[5] & close[0] and assign them values (this for the first 5 minutes)- do that for each range....?

Hope this helps!
