In equities or spot fx one can open a daily chart to identify historical major support & resistance.

since futures contract expires every 4 months, how does one identify a major S/R on those contracts?

is futures only for day trading? how is it possible to combine all those data say for the past 5-10 years of an ES contract to identify major S/R on a daily chart.

I have thought about this a long time but never really asked
