I've suddenly got this little icon in my taskbar, and can't get rid of it. When I left or right click on it, nothing happens, and no option to close, etc.
Any help getting rid of it, or finding out what it is, appreciated. Here's a screenie...

Okay, thanks guys. I watched the "Task Manager" a couple of times while it was booting, and I'm almost sure it's an .exe file called "ccsvchst.exe". (the little white thingy pops up during the booting process)
I googled it and it appears to be Norton related. And since I just did a fresh install of Norton 2010 a couple of days ago, it makes since.
Yeah, looks like Norton and the ccsvchst.exe file involved. Just for the heck of it, I checked Norton history and it was blocking a second instance of that file the same time I noticed the
icon pop up. Must just be a bug in Norton. But, I'll be sure and run some malware checks to play it safe. Thanks again...
I 'm not sure of the problem either but I normally go to majorgeeks.com for their other downloads - Mike posted Malwarebytes , I also use superantispyware.
I used to use norton but too many problems with internet, and applications not working correctly, slowing down the computer, etc., switched to kaspersky and stopped having problems.
are your posted apps working in a permanent realtime modus (what i really dont like)
or are they for to scan the PC from time to time starting it manualy ?
