This is a question for NinjaTrader vendor:

Will there be a Broker Direct version offered in the future for the NinjaTrader with TT_net feed/order_routing, like what had been offered with CQG and Rythmic feed/execution?

I think I have this with DDT, search here for Howard Lender - there is a threat - and ask him. But there are a few things you have to look for: There is always a reconnection at 9am. Be careful with overnight positions as they are little strange shown in NinjaTrader. I daily restart Ninjatrader and I only trade one specific future contract intraday. But I think Howard can tell it best to you.

If you are referring to the Direct Edition which is a limited functionality version that was available for Zen-Fire but still available for CQG then the answer is no.

Ray, Thanks very much for the quick response!

Since other routing platforms like IB, CQG, Rythmic, Zen-Fire all get the limited functionality version, what is the rationality for not offering the same for TT_net?

Only CQG has this limited functionality version at this time.

I had been with Mirus on Zen-fire with NT limited functionality version since 2008, and had been a happy customer, virtually trouble-free and I don't have to pay for a platform fee.

I moved my account to AMP because of the Zen-fire blow up, not because I was unhappy with Mirus, but because I am a trader and I need to trade to make a living. with AMP I have 3 execution platforms to choose from: CQG, Rythmic, and TT_Net.

TT_net has the lowest commission rate, so I opt for TT_net. I have 3 options with TT_net: X-trader_Pro, or Ninjatrader, or Sierra Charts. X-Trader is out of my league, Ninjatrader and Sierra trader are about equal in both functionalists and commissions, with NT slightly higher due to the surcharge of $0.20 per trade fees to TT, but the real difference lies on the platform cost: Sierra Charts offers a limited functionality version that is free, while NT doesn't, this puts NT at disadvantage, given the fact that both competing platforms offer competitive features and functionaries.

I had been a NT user for almost 10 years so I naturally would like to continue to use NT, but that would not be financially feasible to me: besides the $0.20 higher commissions rate (which I am willing to pay), there is also a $600 a year platform charge, which for very profitable traders is a non-issue, but for traders who are struggling to stay above the water, it is a big deal, because it all add up: $600 for platform fee, $1500 for IQ-feed, plus money for specialty software like MarketDelta, commercial indicators, etc. etc.

All I am saying is this: if NT can offer the limited functionality version for TT, NT will continue to gain market share, those who use limited functionality version are more likely to upgrade to full version once their trading become profitable, while if they swathed to Sierra Charts, they are most unlikely to become a paid customer of NT. I just want NT to consider this and not to be short-sighted.

I must add that the DOM in Sierra Charts limited functionality version has all the features that are only available in the full version of NT, namely the ATM features: OCO, barckets, etc. and with TT_net, thes features reside on the TT_net server, as opposed to on the client's personal computer, which is a huge advantage.

Is the life time license out of the question w/ Ninja.... ?
