I have had Desktop Window Manager crash on my machine for as long as I can remember.

All of the sudden, All the screens will crash down to the main screen, leaving the other two empty.

Has anyone ever heard of this or better yet, a fix ?

Make sure you are running the latest drivers for your video card. And use the Error Reporting submission tool to see if it can find the cause, it could be another piece of software that is doing it.

Open a command prompt window or type this in the search box in the start menu.

eventvwr.exe.

When the event viewer opens check the Windows Logs.
There should be a critical entry at the last crash you experienced.
(Probably under the System item but could be under Application)

The Event ID listed when the last crash occurred can be searched on Google.

This should give you a clue of the problem.
