It's a great movie that shows the ups and down of money addiction. I wish they would have rearranged the movie structure a little to add more emphasis on his recovered life.
Here's an article that I find somewhat relevant to the movie and story. There are a lot of people who have had similar battles with drugs, money, and all sorts of vices that go along with the power of wall street but have ultimately decided to take the more virtuous approach.
I guess I'm a little old fashion. I'd like to watch the movie but when I heard it holds the record for usage of the "F" word (like 5-600 times as I recall) I decided maybe it "ain't that important." That said, I was a little "turned on" when I heard Gretel say it a couple times!
I saw this movie and it was good. I felt there were lots of references the general public wouldn't get such as scalping, or IPO's etc. I was actually going to start a thread about this movie, just for one reason, and that seems to be (at least in this movie) the depiction of stock brokers as ruthless shady seedy low-life salesman characters. Is this how the majority of public sees traders (or stock market folk) in general?
