Before we begin, brief profile of self. I know, boring but, it is necessary please

I’d been serving or/ been servant in the corporate world for good 18+ years. Had a realization one day (that would be probably 6 years back or so) that the monthly pay-packet was becoming more of a burden then anything on my/our personal life. Was seeking ways to get out of the rat-race, further realization that neither am innovative nor have any skills/ideas nor any financial backing to do something on my own. Darn, back to the rat-hole?!? Guess not, where there is will, there lies ahead a steep hill, climbing which can give you infinite $$$ bills??? Dream-On

Cutting long story short, I started on this adventure of dreaming to make living out of the financial markets. I’ve purposely omitted the “Trading for Living” cliché, & also I don’t have the necessary steel balls, if you will, to trade these markets on intra-day movements

Progress so far, I’ve quit my job recently and I’m able to run the household (meet the ends?) with the earnings from the markets. Albeit, by curbing expenses which I could afford with the monthly guaranteed pay-cheque. I’m still climbing the steep-hill and hoping that will reach the Summit sooner than later


I primarily trade instruments in Indian markets & again mainly the Index (NIFTY). But, then charts are charts so, you can always pitch-in & help me learn

Think that’s good enough intro about me.


I will try to inter-lace this thread with my trade journey/journal, lessons learnt/learning, strategies I try/want to follow. So, that you can help me with your suggestions on speeding up my journey towards the summit

Great to know about you. Nifty Futures these days moves like Hang Seng. And it spikes through stoplosses. And it gaps up and gaps down at wil.
Not sure if charts will work on the shorter timeframes unless you have hefty stoplosses in place.
If there is anyway I can help let me know.
