I'm been told with NT 7 you can draw a fib retracement on your big picture chart (say a 12 range chart) and have that fib show up on your smaller chart (say a 4 range chart).

Does anyone here use this feature in NT7? Does it work?

Todd

Yes it works. You can have NT 7 apply any drawing object to all charts of the same symbol. Simply draw your fib/trendline etc, right click on it & choose 'Properties'. At the bottom of the dialogue box you'll see a drop down box where you can choose to Attach to All Charts. Any changes you make to any fib/line etc are automatically made to other charts of the same symbol. You can also choose to have individual charts opt-out of this process too.

Thanks, Johneee..

Just curious...how do you like NT 7 compared to NT 6.5? Do you find it better in several ways? Is it really glitchy or is it something you find easy to work with?

Todd

Hi Todd

My use of charting is pretty much limited to price and volume, so I'm far from a power-user on NT. That said my experience of NT7 is positive. I've had virtually no problems with it compared to 6.5 which used to fall over and give me problems with my Matrox Quad video card. The new features are subtle to a user like me but they are definitely improvements in terms of general usability.

You may have seen this but if not I'd recommend checking out the NT7 Charting Overview video which quite neatly summarises the new features of NT7 charting. Unfortunately as this is only my second post here I'm not allowed to post links to it but if you go to the NT support forum and search for "NinjaTrader 7 Charting Video Overview" you should find it. )
