When entering a trade
I am prompted (asked) by NT to confirm the order

Is there some way to turn this prompt off as it can delay entry (obviously)

Or is that just asking for trouble having "placed" orders going straight to market without that safety prompt?

• From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the menu Tools > Options
• Select the "General" tab
• Uncheck the option "Confirm order placement"
• Press the "OK" button

Options->General->Confirm order placement.

Depends on your trading style whether you can afford to leave it on or not.
