This might be slightly off topic but I couldn't find a better place to post, so here it goes.

I just found out while trading that my broker, Mirus/Dorman, raised the margin on CL.
When the whole Zenfire debacle was going on and they switched to Dorman, they quoted me 20% of CME margin requirement (roughly $750). Today while trading I got a margin error and when I talked to the trade desk they informed me that, oh no, they had doubled their margin to $1500 several weeks ago (and never bothered to send out a notice).

So the question is, have other brokers also raised their daytrading margin on CL ? Please share your experiences.

My broker (Advantage Futures) charge exchange margin's. Hence they only go up or down if the exchange changes them.

Other than rolling contracts forward I don't think CME has changed CL margins in a while.

Just checked with AMP. The margin is still at $1000
