Written in C++ for both Windows and Linux .. complete charting and analysis and trading platform written by a known published author [[The Encyclopedia of Trading Strategies (Jeffrey Owen Katz, Ph.D., and Donna L. McCormick; McGraw-Hill)]]

I dabbled with the original version, and bought the 'pro' sometime ago but never developed the software skills needed to properly give this software an install ... maybe I should have, except dont see it using tick or range bars . A friend was originally going to help me with this but he moved away and lost interest/time to assist.

Advertised as very fast and capable of using multicore, plus multiple instances on same computer without mention of virtual machines needed.

Any comments/thoughts appreciated

I'm curious too, I always like learning about new platforms to better know all my options.

It looks like it doesn't actually trade, though. Not sure how important the speed benefit of using C++ on Linux is if you are just drawing charts.

If it had an interface to to the popular APIs (Zen/Rithmic, PATS, TT, IB, whatever) they would get my money tomorrow. Otherwise you have a bit of coding and certifying to do to get it to trade directly.

Or am I missing something? Worth watching this space though...

Trader.Jon have you actually compiled it to work directly on Windows or are you running it in a shell? Reason I ask is I just rechecked the documentation I have for the more popular APIs and the only ones that support Unix are IB and RTS Tango, neither of which is ideal for my own requirements.

Thanks.

I have not used it ... I was awaiting a better graphics package to be included (for Windows) which I have yet to see .. Dr. Katz did say he used IB to trade with this software.

Honestly I was looking at several platforms when I was looking at this one, and I got it because I was expecting to learn Linux at the same time but my Linux buddy moved away and I didnt have the time to do all else (ie NT got my attention because of the strong community built around it.) and had considered that this might be a tool to use alongside NT.
