I'm at Starbucks enjoying a coffee as I type this....on my 15 inch laptop and I've opened a trading work space to see how well it would work with just the laptop screen.....and I like it a lot. I might give this a try for the next few days and see how I like it.....

Main monitor which I use for trading(DOM, tape and chart) is 27" 1920x1080 and
second is 21" 1680x1050 there is few longer term charts that I take a look once in a while.
third is 23" 1920x1080 which I use for everything else (chrome etc.)

Currently two 27" acer monitors for NT hooked to the laptop with pcmci to a PCI-E expansion, and then the older computer running TOS on a single small LG monitor. I've got another LG monitor duplicate, not really used for trading, but may need to rearrange the monitors on some kind of support, more deskspace/or not someday.
I used to trade with my desktop using four 19" monitors. Then my desktop puked so I ordered a new one. While waiting for it to arrive, I put NT on my laptop and I've been trading on it ever since. Not that it means anything, but I understand Al Brooks trades with only one 15" laptop.

For me that's more than enough, and I'm seriously thinking about reducing the number of charts I'm currently looking at...

I paid around $650 for the 30" monitors in the states on monoprice (there is a thread on futures.io (formerly BMT) somewhere). Here it would likely be over $2,000 and I can't even find one that is as good.
I'll wait for my container to arrive
It works out, I've not been spending much time in my office lately.
6 x Samsung 2343BWX 23-inchers that do 2048x1152 run off a ATI 5870 2GB 6-output mini-displayport card. Another 4-quad 1280x1024's run off another video card. Will be adding probably 2-4 more monitors. Using 40+ charts, 12+ instruments. Yes, it can become a bit of a heat-emissions issue during the summer (from the monitor display, not the hardware!)
