i am interested in learning the basic logistics of investing in government bonds. i am not thinking of actively trading in and out of bonds as prices and rates move, what i have in mind is choosing a vehicle with a good rate and holding it to maturity.
are there limitations for foreign nationals investing on us treasury bonds? other than a banking account in the usa, what else would someone need?
after some basic research i did, government debt of norway, new zealand and australia also looks particularly attractive. does anyone know how could i invest in financial vehicles of those countries?
thanks everyone, have a nice day, regards.
