I'm not really getting what the story is? I think everyone knows Goldman is the top dog and mostly because of its relationships. Of course Paulson becomes Secretary of the Treasury kind of thing.
You can't have it both ways. You can't want more regulation and then complain that it favors one firm over another. Of course it does. You can't have regulators that know nothing about what they are supposed to be regulating. They have to get that experience somewhere and of course they are going to form relationships.
The best regulation can do is slow down corruption with red tape. The only way to solve free market corruption would be to get rid of free markets.
I use to be a big NPR listener but it really is just complaining based infotainment.
The "ray rice video of finance"....The only thing this will have in common with Ray Rice is no one will care about it in a month.
