I saw somewhere this year a response from Ninja Support stating they had no intention to handle OCO orders at the server in the foreseeable future....that speaks volumes.

Hi Nick,
@NinjaTrader does have server side OCO, but it depends on the broker.

Here is a post from back in 2008 Where do your orders reside? so I think someone in Ninja Support mis informed you.

Math. A gateway drug to reality.

I used TT for 10 yrs and started using Ninja in 2012. Had some issues with Nnja in early 2014 because my system would occasionally freeze up. I executed Ninja thru Patsystems. Because of my issues freezing up earlier this year, I switched to T4. When Ninja bBrokerage started, I switched back to Ninja and have been very pleased. Speed etc has been excellent. I am happy with ninja.

If u had issues with ninja previously, ninja brokerage may be a big improvement.

Yeah, I am good with NT7 -- had started using it around 2012. After watching the set-up videos and reading the Support Forum...I was able to download it, open it, set-up the charts and fiddle with it within couple hours!

I do like the Chart Trader! It's cool having your stops and targets be seen right on the chart and are fully adjustable by just click and drag! Can't have a robust trading management without the ATM! That is gold right there!

I just heard that the P&F charting in NT7 is not quite of to par! Maybe NT8 will solve that problem. The strategy I am learning now may use P&F charts for correct S&R without the noise.

Yeah...looking forward to NT8 -- hope it is just not too complicated to re-learn.

I'm using NT 7 it's been great but the only scary thing that it to me last night was hearing the automated voice saying, "order filled". I checked and chated w my broker and fortunately there weren't any orders. That was scary.

Hi everybody, and @NinjaTrader, did not find or know a proper place to post this-so here it is:
Why is it that so many times you see someone post a problem here on NexusFi (formerly BMT)(maybe not so much here) But definitely on the NT support forum and the response is to Un-install and Re-install NT?
Or go to this folder and delete, or this folder and rename.............????

Well, in my case although irritating, probably the correct approach because my configuration is a bit weird and maybe even messy. I don't run NT on a machine only used for trading and I have three drives, have moved my Documents folder off the C: drive and all that is running within Parallels on an iMac. So, the above step simply re-establishes as close as possible to a simple, clean installation; and from there if I still need to alter things, at least I can more easily see at what point it breaks. I don't get random failures. They are always due to some particular change in my system such as enabling file sharing between OSX and Windows.

I am looking at some portable laptops for my trading. I am a day trader and mostly trade for 3-4 hours a day. I use Ninjatrader 7 with Rithmic Connection. I use no Indicators. I just use Chart Trader shortcuts to trade from charts.

So anyone still out there in this deserted thread advice me about a Macbook Pro with Windows 7 or 8 and NT Combo.

I am looking to buy a Retina Display Macbook Pro with i5 5th Gen (at least) and 8 GB of Ram and an SSD. How does this fare against other Windows Laptops..?
I will be using the Windows part only to trade and study charts. No other work to keep the registry clean.
