Hi everyone,
I've decided to start making a journal on nexusfi.com (formerly BMT). I do journal but have never really been the type to feel the need to put it out there. I don't know how relevant the price is as I'm a spread trader, trading outside the given contracts. I have read however that some of these things are negotiable so either way I've got nothing to loose.
I've been a member of Big Mike for quite some time, mostly been interested in reading other peoples threads and listening to the webinars, especially the webinars I find very helpful. As I've recently changed my market I went back to square one. So after doing some training earlier this year on spread trading, I have now begone to build up a track record.
At this moment in time I have put my focus on just one contract, but could trade more as I've done previously. The contract of choice here is Euribor, or I on NYSE Liffe. It's also available on Eurex, but currently I'm going through NYSE.
Small size 1-10 contracts.
-Spread or fly trades only, no outrights (although this could be done fairly easily)
-Try to hedge as quickly as possible (This is often harder …
I haven't seen many spread traders on here, even less people that trade the STIRS market. Any feedback etc is welcome.
Here is my journal for the trades I take following The Intentional Trader indicators with Bloodhound. I will post all the trades I take with real money and make notes on the charts. I will also show trades that I missed and the reasons why.
I began following Tony Peterson of The Intentional Trader in May 2014. I began by SIM trading their methodology using the indicators that I purchased from them. I started trading live with real money in September 2014 and will begin posting my trades …
I've done my best to make a post in everyone's active journal thread letting them know about the contest. If I forgot to post in your thread it was just an oversight.
Beeper here. I’m new to nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) and I’m nervous, excited, dreadful, and embarrassed about the process ahead.
I’ve been trading part time for the past four years. In that time I’ve made some money, lost more money and now I’m starting to breakeven. I daytrade on the US futures market from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM Monday through Friday. I’m only trading one contract, usually either in the Mini Dow (YM) or the 30 year T-bill (US). I'm trading with real money (albeit small $$) and will journal all trades; good and bad.
This is my first attempt at using a trade log. My goals are:
1. To continue to learn the craft of trading pushing my way into consistent profitability.
2. To absorb and implement as much advice and support from fellow traders as I can.
3. To take my collection of random thoughts, trades and results into a cohesive repeatable trading system.
This is going to be a bloody bloody process but one that I hope will make a major difference in my trading.
I seriously encourage feedback and comments. My trade journal can be found here:
I'm totally nervous and worried about making an ass of myself. At the same time I know that the only way I can get better is to allow myself to be helped. So here goes:
Due to health problems I have limited cognition (which I'm totally embarrassed …
Hello everyone,
Here will be the place for my orderflow reading trades.
First things first, I’m French, not English fluent, so there WILL be language mistakes, mix of words and so on. (and you haven’t heard me yet, because I will post videos. …
I want to thank all who have supported my journal with comments, guidance, humor and likes over the past couple years. If you have enjoyed or benefited my high drama CL trading journal please vote for it. Thank you.
Hi all,
I requested that my old journal be closed as I have incorperated alot of Al Brooks price action into my Elliott wave technique. Special thanks to the people that use price action to trade full time. (PandaWarrior,VinceVirgil,Gary) My goal is …
I want to let you and all your readers know that in October nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) has a Trading Journal contest w/prizes. The contest runs October 1 to October 31, and the three best journals (as decided by nexusfi.com …
I feel like my excel spreadsheet is very inclusive and that may be the biggest value you find in this journal. I'll be trading live with this so hopefully all goes well. Paper trading gave me about an 85% success rate over 3 months. This is not automated however. Still more of an art than a science. My war cry for this method is "Continuous Small Gains make you RICH!!!" Don't forget that it's all about percentages and leverage, not grand slams, and if you pass up home runs for a game full of base hits you will win. Watch Moneyball.
