Does anyone here know of a indicator or tactic that would help with avoiding whipsaws for either moving average crossovers or using a unirenko ? This seems to be a big challeng in trading, or knowing when am instrument like the es will start trending

Short version, if you are experiencing chop then you are trading too small of a time frame. Stop trying to eliminate chop and instead stop trading noise of tiny intraday moves.
