Hi all,

I am a newbie day trader, with about 1 year experience. Until about 3 months ago I was using Scottrade's Streaming Quotes. Now I am using their "Scottrade Elite". Jumping from their generic java based web platform to their "better" platform helped me realize platforms matter.

I am on the hunt for something better. I have my eyes on Tradestation, but am not sure. Their $5 per trade is definitely better than Scottrade ($7). Also, being able to use custom indicators sounds interesting. Not too excited about "indicators" though because I find that the few indicators I use the better I perform.

Any other platform suggestions? Please state what stands out about them.

Thanks,
MrDayTrader
