Technical Indicator Settings for Different type of Scans

Friends, please recommend some Book or article link etc. which clearly separates the various technical indicators into different categories like -

Trend
Volatility
Momentum
Market Strength
and so on.

And which also gives the Practical Usage examples of those indicators, so that one can add those Indicator Conditions to the Scanners.

I have to prepare a few scanners which will separate the stocks into different categories based on these indicators. Like -
stocks that are volatile,
stocks that are in very tight range,
stocks that have good momentum,
and so on.

If you know about some thread which has such information about the indicator settings for such scanners, then please share the link here.

PS: I am open to using the scanners available in any platforms. It is not limited to any particular one like - Tradestation or Amibroker etc.
