Hi,

I have a recently updated custom indicator study that works fine until I shut down ToS...

When I restart ToS, the study reverts to an older version of the study...

I've tried deleting the study, rebooting, then re-adding the study back to my charts with no luck...

It still does the same thing...

Please help, if possible

Thanks in advance...

Update: I received the following "standard" tech support instructions from Ian @ ToS...

Quoting
Delete your usergui folder, as an overloaded or corrupted usergui can cause that type of glitch

To delete the usergui folder, first exit TOS.
Then, right-click on the desktop icon and click Properties.
Then, either click Find Target or Open File Location
(one should be there, depending on the version of Windows you have.)
Then, locate the folder called usergui and delete it.
You will not lose any saved charts, settings, etc.
Then, try logging onto TOS again.
It should work at this point.

Update: It didn't work...

Interestingly enough, the size of the usergui folder decreased from 118MB down to 60MB!
There sure must have been a lot of " cruft" lying around in there...

Update: What finally did work...

1. Go into "Edit Studies" and delete the study
2. Delete all references to the study on all charts
3. Log off ToS
4. Delete the ToS usergui folder (again....just in case)
5. Restart (cold boot)
6. Log onto ToS
7. Go into "Edit Studies" and create a new study (with a new filename)
8. Add the new study on all charts
9. Log off ToS (again...just in case)
10. Log onto ToS

Here's hoping that this will help someone somewhere along the way

I screwed up the sequence of steps and, for some reason, I cannot edit the previous post, so please disregard it and follow the steps below:

1. Delete all references to the study on all charts
2. Go into "Edit Studies" and delete the study
3. Log off ToS
4. Delete the ToS usergui folder (again....just in case)
5. Restart the computer (cold boot)
6. Log onto ToS
7. Go into "Edit Studies" and create a new study (with a new filename)
8. Add the new study on all charts
9. Log off ToS (again...just in case)
10. Log onto ToS

Once again, here's hoping that this will help someone somewhere along the way

FYI, you can only edit a post within 24 hours of posting it. That's why you couldn't change this.

Bob.
