Strangely, this image is also not coming through, at least for me. Usually when this happens, it seems that the poster had the edit window open a long time with the image embedded in it before posting, so many of us (the long-winded ones ) have taken to finishing and proofreading our writing before adding the image at the last minute.
But your post is very short, so I don't imagine you had the window open a significant span of time, so this idea doesn't seem to apply....
Strange. Since nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) will eventually go to a completely different bulletin board software, this issue is not likely to be fixed now. So we've just learned to live with it. But having it not work sometimes on your shorter posts is a new thing.
Sorry, took a foolish trade on ES when I wasn't sure if it was going to go up or down and of course it stopped me out and then went right up in the direction of my trade & hit my target of 3 points. (Loss 3 points w/3 contracts). Took a quick scalp on Crude with 3 contracts and regained my loss.
I have had the "disappearing graphic" syndrome on futures.io (formerly BMT) many many times. I often have the reply window open for 15-30 mins as I compose a long post. It is not uncommon for me to have 3-5 graphics in any one post.
I have NOT had a problem though for the last 4 months or so and here is why:
1. I create/annotate my charts and keep them in my graphics software (I use an old reliable version of Paintshop pro)
2. The I split my commuter screen so I can see the futures.io (formerly BMT) reply and the graphic at the same time.
3. I compose my message and in the space where I would normally insert the chart graphic, I mark that place with "=======> insert chart (name) here"
4. Then I compose the next section of the reply and mark where I want to insert the chart again using "=====> insert new chart here".
I like this system now because as I am composing my post I am looking at the graphic and sometimes I see more than I saw in that chart when it was first created .... so I can highlight those new areas of the chart appropriately and save the changes
5. Once the text of the reply is complete.... I upload the graphics I used as attachments. Now I over write the "=======> insert chart (name) here" markers by embedding the appropriate chart.... by this method the graphics are only in the reply edit for a few minutes before preview to make sure it looks fine/ save the reply.
Never had a disappearing chart since I adopted this approach
I've been doing essentially the same thing as @Underexposed, and it has worked for me as well. So far, the only thing that has been identified as a possible source of the problem has been leaving the edit window open for a long time with an image in it. It used to work OK, but something changed a few months ago. So now, my images go in at the last moment.
BTW, the reload of the CL chart in post #92 worked OK.
Looks like you're doing well in Crude, though. Since these are very different markets, do you have a good idea why, so far, your trading seems to have matched Crude's personality better than ES's?
(And of course, maybe it's just how a few trades worked out, too, and may not have anything to do with individual markets' characters. Just something I thought of to ask.)
If in fact you have a comparative advantage in Crude, would you want to switch to Crude exclusively once you have ES back above zero?
Also, since you seem to be doing a custom Combine, can you say what your profit target is? Makes it easier to root for you, which I am, if I know how you're doing in terms of the goal.
