not sure if anyone still follows this thread, but i was wondering what people were thinking before the day started today and how it played out in the morning? it gave me some trouble after it filled the gap and got back into the daily balance area. i was unsure of what to do after we couldnt take the ONL/PLOD but kept going above and below the PHOD.
dont believe anything you hear and only half of what you see
There's still life left! ON we've been in a pretty tight range, which could be ripe for a nice breakout. I'm leaning on a move higher for several reasons, both technical and fundamental.
Headlines have talked about the end of the Crude Rally = Bullish to me
US Shale production has slowed with inventories beginning to show declines recently. At the same time the delay in the Iran deal and lifting of sanctions combined with the trouble in Yemen.
USD weakening recently - leading to higher commods prices and a weakening of the crack spread.
Then there is technical indicators such as the MP/VP. As things stand we will be opening above prior VAH which for me is always very Bullish. If we can find support early on and make a sustained push higher on volume then I'd say we could see a return to prior recent H's and a potential break. Currently away from charts so cannot add more but thought I'd say my general view and let you know the thread's not dead.
Did you mean that there is not a single reason to be bullish or that my reason wasn't sufficient to be bullish?
I felt there was, of course I was wrong yesterday but that is just part of trading. CL inventories caused some volatility and saw us move lower. My view is still bullish though. Please, share your thoughts.
Haha ah I see, yes, the news seems to always be a few steps behind and create a story to fit around the market's actions. I agree with the $70 outlook too, I feel like we will see a lot of backing and filling as we make our way higher.
